Daydream…
I conjure thoughts of linen-clad women in big hats wandering the empty streets of romantic places… Or maybe me and him on blankets under the stars… Sometimes. Sometimes that happens. But mostly, mostly it’s home. Not far away and one working man shy of romantic but still. Still dreamy. Because every day, even at home, I am worthy of setting aside moments. Pause. Breathe. Be…
And so are you.
One of the easiest ways to be a “moment maker” at home is by pouring a special cup of something. In winter, it’s always coffee. But in summer, there’s nothing quite like iced tea. It’s versatile and always refreshing.
Raspberry lemonade iced tea concentrate
You will need:
A quart jar with screw band and lid
4 bags of raspberry herbal tea
1 cup lemon juice or the juice of about 3 large lemons
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups boiling water
Boil 2 cups water. Add the sugar and herbal tea to your quart jar. Add the boiling water and stir to dissolve the sugar. Let the tea brew for 3-6 minutes depending on the strength of tea you enjoy. Remove the tea bags and add lemon juice. Cool your concentrate on the counter until it is done steaming. Then lid the jar and store the concentrate in the fridge for up to one week.
Raspberry lemonade tea concentrate will make about 6-8 glasses of raspberry lemonade sparkling iced tea.
